As an rtNOW agent, you MUST use only the Chrome web browser.  Much of our technology will not work if you use Microsoft Edge, Explorer, Firefox, etc.  ONLY Chrome can be used.

Please downloaded and install Chrome from this link: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/

It can be installed on both Mac and Windows computers.

!!! PLEASE NOTE !!!

40% of the problems we have with video not working are because Chrome (or another browser or app) had grabbed control of the webcam in another tab or window.  Closing and re-opening Chrome creates a “clean slate”.

At the beginning of your shift, PLEASE CLOSE ALL BROWSERS (including Chrome) and any app that uses a webcam (like Skype).  Then re-open JUST Chrome!  This is crucial.

Don’t use any other browser, app, or site that uses your webcam while on your shift than a freshly opened Chrome.

The “Block Yourself from Analytics” Extension for Chrome.

  1. After downloading Chrome, open it, and use it to go to the following address: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/block-yourself-from-analy/fadgflmigmogfionelcpalhohefbnehm?hl=en
  2. Install this extension.  Make sure after the install you can see the icon that looks like this on the top near the address bar:
  3. Go to www.rtnow.net
  4. Right-click on the icon and make sure “Block Yourself from Analytics” is checked.
  5. The icon should change to this:

The reason for blocking analytics is to give us an accurate idea of who comes to our website.  We want to be able to separate our employees from potential customers.
