There is a certain kind of a field within lists called a “Formula” field. You can add a formula column to a list, and then run math between two or more other columns in that list. Kind of like you can do in an excel spreadsheet.
This is powerful if we want to, for example, calculate a date 60 days after a CPAP setup date and then flag all patients who are not adherent for one last push.
What’s the problem?
The problem is that these custom formula columns are not reportable, and you can not use them to trigger automations (yet). As with many things ClickUp, this is a known feature request, and hopefully they will add it to their roadmap. In the meantime, we can only show the formula field on a list. It has to be analyzed and interpreted by a human for further action. We sincerely hope this will change, and it probably will one day. But for now, we have to work around this limitation.
If, and hopefully when, these fields become reportable, it would also be incredibly useful to be able to run reports on when exactly in a process patients at large become adherent (for example day 1-30, 31-60, or 61-90). You can see how powerful it could be, and again, hopefully ClickUp will take this on.
