Protected: ClickUp Admin Training Course How We are Structured for ClickUp Patients as “Tasks”

One way that rtNOW is using ClickUp differently than it’s intended use is how we treat what ClickUp calls “tasks”.  Because we want to retain a patient’s data throughout the process, and because a “task name” is the only required field within ClickUp columns, we made the decision to treat every patient as an individual “task”, and use the “task name” to reflect the patient name.

This is a crucial point.  While every other customized column we can determine the type of column and the column name – that is not the case with patient names.  Patient names are always input as “task names” in ClickUp.

Regardless, once we have a patient and their data within a task, ClickUp makes it very easy to transfer that patient from role to role.  But this is one strange data column that you should be aware of.  It even shows up on the client reporting lists as “task name”.

It is worth noting that there are times we use the “task name” for other data – such as identifying rtNOW employee time tracking tasks.  But the point here is that when we are using it for a patient and we have a patient name, they will be entered as the “task name”.
